Residential Limited Contractor (RLC) license in Oregon

Lets a small business take jobs of up to $5,000 in any number of trades on homes and small commercial structures.

This endorsement fits part-time operators such as handyman services. There is no limit on the number of trades, but the business has to stay under two dollar caps.

No contract can be over $5,000, and time-and-materials bills are held to the same figure. A series of agreements with one person for one work site within a year counts as a single contract. Annual gross business sales can't go over $40,000.

Get the total price in writing. If the work could grow past $5,000, choose a contractor with a different endorsement before you start. The state minimums here are a $15,000 bond and $100,000 per occurrence in liability insurance.
