This license is in a person's name, or we couldn't tell it belongs to a business, so we show only the city and ZIP code.
The Responsible Managing Individual (RMI) is the owner or employee on the license who has management or supervisory authority over the business's construction work and meets CCB's requirements. That person may not be the one running your job, so ask who will be.
Bond and liability insurance
| License type | Bond | Surety | Bond expires | Insurance | Insurer | Insurance expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Residential Specialty Contractor | $20,000 | Cbic | August 24, 2028 | $1,000,000 | Next Insurance Us Company | December 7, 2027 |
Oregon sets the CCB bond by endorsement, from $15,000 to $80,000. It's limited protection: if mediation fails, collecting from it takes a court judgment or arbitration award, and one bond limit can be shared by every complaint against the contractor. Oregon sets minimum liability coverage by endorsement, from $100,000 per occurrence to $2 million aggregate. It's for property damage and bodily injury, not contract disputes or poor workmanship.
Workers' compensation
- Status in CCB file
- Exempt
Exempt generally means the business has no employees or leased workers, so CCB doesn't require it to carry workers' comp. Commercial contractors in this class must still carry coverage, and an exempt business that hires employees has to move to the nonexempt class.
